| Description: |
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the City of Port Colborne (the “City”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Entertainment and Production Services for the Annual Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival and Summer Community Concert Series, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The City is seeking one (1) or two (2) firms to provide Entertainment and Production Services for:
Proponents may submit a proposal for one or both components. Proponents must bid on all required services within any component for which they submit a proposal. As further detailed in Section 1.1.2, two (2) or more separate entities may submit a joint proposal for a component, provided that, collectively, they satisfy all requirements applicable to that component. Submission of a proposal for both components is not mandatory. While the City reserves the right to award each component separately, its preference is to award both components to a single qualified proponent. Proponents submitting proposals for both components that meet the minimum technical threshold will be awarded an additional five (5) points as part of the evaluation process. Canal Days is a four-day festival held every Civic Holiday weekend, featuring a free live concert series and a vibrant street festival. The free outdoor concert series takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings at H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park. Over the years, the festival has welcomed some of Canada's top rock and alternative artists, including Finger Eleven, Tom Cochrane, The Trews, Billy Talent, Big Wreck, David Wilcox, Sloan, The Glorious Sons, The Strumbellas, and many more. In addition to the concerts, the festival offers a lively street fair with vendors, family-friendly activities, entertainment, food, and attractions, making Canal Days one of the region's premier summer events. The Summer Community Concert Series are events with Live music, waterfront views, and community spirit. The Concert Series features a dynamic lineup of crowd favourites and tribute performance on six (6) evenings throughout the summer. |
